Axillary giant basal cell carcinoma is extremely rare and remains challenging for physicians. The few reported cases have a relatively short-term follow-up, and none were treated with an oral hedgehog pathway inhibitor. Herein, we report the case of a 71-year-old man with a giant basal cell carcinoma in the axilla. The primary treatment instituted was surgical excision and adjuvant radiotherapy. The tumor recurred 4.5 years later, and 6-month treatment with vismodegib, a hedgehog pathway inhibitor, was effective. The disease progression re-occurred 1.5 years after discontinuing vismodegib. Palliative radiotherapy was administered, and the disease remained stable for > 1 year. Our case illustrates a rare disease with an 8-year follow-up, involving different therapeutic strategies against multiple recurrences. J Drugs Dermatol. 2022;21(5):531-533. doi:10.36849/JDD.6583.

Background: A nonadjustable state of the programmable shunt valve is a rare phenomenon. This case report aims to explore the cause of pressure adjustment dysfunction in a programmable shunt valve in a middle cranial fossa arachnoid cyst-peritoneal shunt patient and to underscore this dysfunction as an indicator of shunt valve obstruction.
Case Presentation: A child with a ruptured giant arachnoid cyst in the left middle cranial fossa presented with acute intracranial hypertension following head trauma.

Purpose And Background: To create awareness among dermatosurgeons about the versatility of keystone flaps in re-surfacing post-excisional small, medium and large skin defects.
Aims And Objectives: Single-staged tension-free re-surfacing of various sized skin defects using keystone flap and to have least donor site morbidity, primary healing and maximum functional outcome.
Material And Methods: This retrospective study was conducted, between October 2021 - January 2023 in Department of Plastic Surgery, PGIMS Rohtak, on 15 males and 1 female aged between 18 - 65 years.

The Par complex regulates cell polarity in diverse animal cells , but how its localization is restricted to a specific membrane domain remains unclear. We investigated how the tumor suppressor Lethal giant larvae (Lgl) polarizes the Par complex in neural stem cells (NSCs or neuroblasts). In contrast to epithelial cells, where Lgl and the Par complex occupy mutually exclusive membrane domains, Lgl is cytoplasmic when the Par complex is apically polarized in NSCs.

Purpose: To evaluate the clinical outcomes of topical 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) 1% as first-line therapy for giant ocular surface squamous neoplasia (OSSN).
Materials And Methods: This was a non-comparative cohort study. We included patients with biopsy-proven giant OSSN in a tertiary-care setting.
