Background And Purpose: Though TURP remains the primary treatment for BPH, advancements in energy and technology have introduced innovative transurethral surgical options. In this study, we assessed and compared the effectiveness and safety of using thulium laser and bipolar for endoscopic enucleation of prostate exceeding 80 g.

Patients And Methods: Between January 2022 and July 2023, this study enrolled patients with LUTS due to BPH and a prostate size of ≥80 g.

Background: Excess fluid in the interstitium can adversely affect the microcirculation. We studied how gradual dilution of the blood plasma by crystalloid fluid influences microcirculatory variables and capillary filtration in 20 patients undergoing surgery.

Methods: Video recordings of the sublingual mucosal were made on four occasions during the surgery and compared with quasi-measurements of the capillary filtration rate using retrospective volume kinetic data collected over 5-10-minute periods during 262 infusion experiments with crystalloid fluid.

Objective: This study describes the perioperative kinetics of C-reactive protein in patients undergoing endoscopic coronary artery bypass grafting for single target vessel left anterior descending disease, with early postoperative discharge.

Methods: From July 2021 to April 2024, patients were included in this single-centre retrospective study ( = 208), excluding C-reactive protein-modulating complications. Perioperative and 14-day follow-up C-reactive protein levels and clinical signs of infections were analysed.

Aims: Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA) improve outcomes in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) but are underused. Point prevalent use has been described, but the kinetics of discontinuation and the extent of reinitiation have not been studied.

Methods And Results: Patients with HFrEF enrolled in the Swedish Heart Failure Registry between 2006 and 2021 were linked to the Prescribed Drug Register.

Modulating the Interactions of Peptide-Polyphenol for Supramolecular Assembly Coatings with Controllable Kinetics and Multifunctionalities.

Adv Sci (Weinh)

Polyphenols and peptides represent two fundamental building blocks in the kingdom of supramolecular assembly (SA) coatings, which have recently attracted considerable interest. Regulating the assembly kinetics of SA coatings is critical to controlling the performance of SA coatings, but this area is still in its infancy, especially in the SA coating of peptide-polyphenol. Herein, a library of oligopeptides with rich diversity, numerous polyphenols, and modulators are explored to reveal their roles in the formation and regulation of SA coating.
