Introduction: Cardiac dysfunction is a common complication of sepsis. This study aimed to elucidate the regulatory effect of DLEU1 on sepsis-induced myocardial injury.
Material And Methods: HL-1 cardiomyocytes were treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to mimic sepsis-induced myocardial injury in vitro, and the mouse septic model was established through cecum ligation and perforation (CLP).

Effective closure of both muscular and mucosal defects after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) remains a technical challenge. Failure to adequately address such defects may increase the risk of delayed perforation. In this video case report, we demonstrate the application of the through-the-scope (TTS) tack system for defect closure following ESD in a patient with a cecal lesion.

Introduction And Importance: Cecal volvulus is an uncommon cause of large bowel obstruction that typically presents in older adults with a history of chronic constipation or prior abdominal surgery. However, this report documents a rare and atypical case of cecal volvulus presenting in a middle-aged female with no significant past medical or surgical history. This case also highlights the benefits of adopting a synergistic approach between a physician's clinical judgment and the patient's presentation when making a diagnosis to ensure timely interventions and prevent life-threatening complications.

Background: The study was to investigate circRBM33 in septic acute lung injury (ALI).
Methods: Treatment of Murine Lung Epithelial-12 cells (MLE-12) cells was performed using 10 ng/mL Lipopolysaccharide (LPS). circRBM33, miR-15a-5p, and Enhancer of zeste homolog 1 (EZH1) were ascertained through RT-qPCR or Western blot analysis.

Background: Children with perforated appendicitis frequently form post-operative intra-abdominal abscesses (IAA). Intra-peritoneal irrigation for prevention remains controversial. Using a perforated appendicitis murine model, we sought to determine the effect of intra-peritoneal irrigation on post-operative IAA and adhesion formation.
