AI Article Synopsis

  • The literature review examines how apoptosis, a specific form of cell death, affects cellular structure and function.
  • It highlights the significance of apoptosis in both healthy and diseased states in humans and animals.
  • The review emphasizes the necessity for ongoing research to better understand the mechanisms involved in apoptosis.

Article Abstract

The literature review reports data on morphology, biological role and mechanisms of apoptosis as a special type of cell destruction. Apoptosis is very common in humans and animals in health and disease, and therefore needs further investigation.

Characterization and formation of the biomineral aragonite structures of the Noah's Ark shell ( L.,1758) were studied from structural, morphogenetic, and biochemical points of view. Structural and morphological features were examined using X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy, while thermal properties were determined by thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses.

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) have been identified as biomarkers for several diseases, including cancer. The increase in the expression of these enzymes has been related to greater tumor aggressiveness. MMP-26 is expressed constitutively in the endometrium and some cancer cells of epithelial origin.

The breeding and exploitation of chickens at the backyard or commercial family level is an activity of great economic relevance for families in Ecuador. In addition to providing protein of high biological value for food security, it revalues local food resources that could provide productive benefits. With this objective, a study has been conducted in order to explore the effect of C.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the role of transmembrane emp24 domain-containing protein 2 (TMED2) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).

Methodology: A bioinformatics analysis was first conducted to explore TMED2 expression in OSCC and its relation with overall survival. The analysis results were further verified by assessing TMED2 expression levels in human normal oral keratinocyte cells and human OSCC cell lines using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and the Western blot.

Objective: To investigate the effects of lycopene supplementation on inflammation, lung histopathology and systemic DNA damage in an experimentally induced lung injury model, ventilated by conventional mechanical ventilation and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, compared with a control group.

Methods: Fifty-five rabbits sampled by convenience were supplemented with 10mg/kg lycopene for 21 days prior to the experiment. Lung injury was induced by tracheal infusion of warm saline.
