Due to their excellent electrical and thermal conductivity properties, the nano-scale characteristics of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are expected to be suitable for very large-scale integrated circuits and for next-generation micro interconnected devices. Consequently, CNT-metal composite materials have been widely researched, and have shown excellent performance in terms of thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, thermal expansion, and adaptability to microelectronic devices. However, there are few studies on halogen-CNT composite materials with characteristics similar to CNT-metal composites, including regarding the remarkable electrical compatibility of the halogen and CNT and the large number of low-frequency phonons that are beneficial for thermal transport. In this work, iodine chains were considered to explore the halogen effect on CNTs. Variation of the interfacial thermal conductance of CNTs as a function of the iodine chains loading amount and arrangement was explored by a molecular dynamics method. The heat transfer mechanism was further analyzed based on the phonon state difference. This research is expected to provide a new pathway for the application of CNT composite materials in the field of next-generation microelectronics.

The study of primate auditory morphology is a significant area of interest for comparative anatomists, given the phylogenetic relationships that link primate hearing and the morphology of these auditory structures. Extensive literature addresses the form-to-function relationship of the auditory system (outer, middle, and inner ear) in primates and, by extension, provides insight into the auditory system of extinct primates and even modern humans. We add to this literature by describing the ontogenetic trajectory of the middle ear cavity and ossicular chain (malleus, incus, and stapes) due to their critical role in relaying auditory stimuli for interpretation.

One of the goals in synthetic chemistry is to obtain compounds featuring unusual valence states that are stable under ambient conditions. At present, stabilizing unusual Pt(III) states is considered difficult, except through direct Pt-Pt bonding such as that in platinum-blues or organometallization using bulky ligands. Pt(III) stabilization is also very difficult in halogen-bridged metal complex chains (MX-Chains).

Glycated whey protein isolate (gWPI) was produced by dry thermal reaction between whey protein isolate (WPI) and lactose, and its influence on the gelatinization, gel properties, and microstructure changes of wheat starch (WS) was systematically studied. Results showed that gWPI significantly inhibited starch gelatinization and improved starch gel properties. RVA and DSC analysis showed that gWPI decreased viscosity and gelatinization enthalpy (ΔH) in a concentration-dependent manner.

1-Octacosanol(1-Octa) has anti-fatigue, anti-Parkinson's disease, and lipid-regulating effects; however, its long hydrophobic carbon chain results in very poor water solubility, which in turn leads to malabsorption and low bioavailability. To improve the solubility of 1-Octa, it was embedded in octenyl succinic acid and debranched complex-modified starch (OSD) to obtain aqueous OSD-Octa complexes. The solubility of OSD has been found to increase significantly, from 23.
