Introduction: Post-COVID-19 syndrome (PCS) is a severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection-associated chronic condition characterized by long-term violations of physical and mental health. People with type 2 diabetes (T2D) are at high risk for severe COVID-19 and PCS.
Aim: The current study aimed to define the predictors of PCS development in people with T2D for further planning of preventive measures and improving patient outcomes.

Background: We retrospectively analyzed the patients who underwent prone positioning (PP) for acute respiratory failure after pulmonary endarterectomy (PEA).
Methods: One hundred twenty five patients underwent PEA and the outcome related to patients who underwent PP for acute respiratory failure after surgery was analyzed.
Results: Thirteen patients (10%) underwent PP at the mean duration of 28.

Introduction: In clinical practice, evaluating dynamic compliance of the respiratory system (C) could provide valuable insights into respiratory mechanics. Reference values of C based on body weight have been reported, but various factors may affect them and the evidence is scanty. This study aimed to establish a reference interval for C and identify associated variables.

Background: It is challenging to identify emergency department (ED) patients with sepsis who will require resources such as positive-pressure ventilation, vasopressors, or intensive care unit (ICU) admission.
Objectives: Describe the correlation of cardiopulmonary ultrasound (CPUS) with need for care escalation.
Methods: Single center, prospective, observational study of adult patients with suspected sepsis.

Patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) have severe respiratory impairment requiring mechanical ventilation resulting in high mortality. Despite extensive research, no effective pharmacological interventions have been identified in unselected ARDS, which has been attributed to the considerable heterogeneity. The identification of more homogeneous subgroups through phenotyping has provided a novel method to improve our pathophysiological understanding, trial design, and, most importantly, patient care through targeted interventions.
