Background & Objective: Chronic suppurative otitis media is a fatal condition owing to its propensity for intracranial extension. The inadvertent use of antibiotics has led to resistance among causative organisms. The objectives of this study were to determine causative bacteria, their antibiotic resistance and susceptibility patterns, and their response to antibiotics after a one-month follow-up.

Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy has revolutionized the treatment of CD19-positive B-cell malignancies. However, the field is rapidly evolving to target other antigens, such as podocalyxin (PODXL), a transmembrane protein implicated in tumor progression and poor prognosis in various cancers. This study explores the potential of PODXL-targeted CAR-T cells, utilizing a cancer-specific monoclonal antibody (CasMab) technique to enhance the specificity and safety of CAR-T cell therapy.

Cancer and antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) independently increase thrombotic risk, and their coexistence can create a particularly hazardous prothrombotic state. This case report aims to highlight the complex challenges in managing concurrent thrombotic and hemorrhagic events in patients with a history of cancer and APS. The combination of these conditions presents a rare and difficult clinical scenario, requiring careful consideration in anticoagulation management.
