Left thoracotomy with spiral incision is conventional approach for the repair of descending and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms. Because the aneurysms' locations and ranges are various, case-oriented approaches including body postures and the positions of thoracotomy are necessary. Preoperative computed tomography assessment of aneurysms is important for decision making of both operative indication and approach.

Background: Tandem spinal stenosis (TSS) is a condition characterized by the narrowing of the spinal canal in multiple segments of the spine. Predominantly observed in the cervical and lumbar regions, TSS also manifests in the conjunction of the cervical and thoracic spine. The simultaneous occurrence of cervical and thoracic spinal stenosis engenders intricate symptoms, potentially leading to missed and delayed diagnosis.

Background: The burden of osteoarthritis (OA) in multiple joints is high and for patients with bilateral OA of the hip there is no clear recommendation about the indication for simultaneous (one-stage) bilateral total hip arthroplasty (THA) versus two-staged procedures. The purpose of this study was therefore to compare revision and mortality rates after different strategies of surgical timing in bilateral hip OA from the German Arthroplasty Registry (EPRD).
Methods: Since 2012 22,500 patients with bilateral THA (including 767 patients with one-staged bilateral surgery and 11,796 patients with another separate procedures within one year after first THA) are documented in the registry.

Objectives: After forearm and arm cephalic veins are no longer available as options, the choices of arm vascular access between one-staged brachial-basilic vein transposition (BBAVF) and arm straight arteriovenous graft (AS-AVG) for hemodialysis are controversial. This study aims to compare outcomes between groups.
Methods: All one-staged BBAVF and AS-AVG from August 2014 to December 2019 were reviewed.
