Enteropathogenic (EPEC) strains are subdivided into typical (tEPEC) and atypical (aEPEC) according to the presence or absence of a virulence-associated plasmid called pEAF. Our research group has previously demonstrated that two aEPEC strains, 0421-1 and 3991-1, induce an increase in mucus production in a rabbit ileal loop model . This phenomenon was not observed with a tEPEC prototype strain.

Background Aplastic anemia (AA) is a rare and heterogeneous hematological disorder defined as pancytopenia with hypocellular bone marrow in the absence of abnormal infiltration or medullary fibrosis. Various causes of AA have been identified, such as autoimmune factors, bone marrow injuries, viral infections, and genetic disorders. The symptoms of AA are directly linked to pancytopenia and the most common are fatigue, recurrent infections, and bleeding problems.

Aim: To evaluate the capability of strain elastography (SE) in assessing the degree of testicular injury after torsion.
Material And Methods: In total, 50 rabbits were divided into four groups according to different degrees of testicular torsion (TT) at 0°, 180°, 360°, and 720°. For each animal, according to the tissue stiffness distribution, an SE score and strain ratio (SR) were obtained.
