Background: Mast cells are implicated in the pathogenesis and severity of asthma in children and adults. The release of proinflammatory mediators and cytokines from activated mast cells (MC) is associated with Type 2 (T2) cell-skewed inflammation.
Methods: We obtained the airway tissues of Balb/c mice with or without intra-tracheal diesel exhaust particles (DEP) instillation to measure the extent of tryptase MCs infiltration and interleukin (IL)-33 expression.

Introduction: Neointimal hyperplasia is one of the persistent complications after vascular interventions, and is the major cause of treatment failure. Interleukin-33 (IL-33) emerges as a crucial factor in many biological processes and plays an important role in vascular diseases. Adventitial injection is catching attention for its effectiveness and fewer side effects.

Tissue-resident immune cells, such as innate lymphoid cells, mediate protective or detrimental immune responses at barrier surfaces. Upon activation by stromal or epithelial cell-derived alarmins, group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are a rapid source of type 2 cytokines, such as IL-5. However, due to the overlap in effector functions, it remains unresolved whether ILC2s are an essential component of the type 2 response or whether their function can be compensated by other cells, such as T cells.

This study investigated the mechanisms driving the induction and sustained presence of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) in the synovial microenvironment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Synovial tissue and fluid samples were collected from patients with RA and osteoarthritis (OA), and NET levels and cytokine concentrations were measured using a cytometric bead array and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The ability of interleukin-33 (IL-33) to induce NET formation was evaluated using quantitative assays, immunofluorescence staining, live-cell imaging, and electron microscopy.

Background: Lenvatinib is a potent first-line therapy for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but it also increased the number of neutrophils in HCC tumor microenvironment.
Methods: CitH3, MPO-DNA, elastase and MPO activity were measured for assessing neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) in vivo and in vitro. Cell cuproptosis was assessed by measurement of copper content, FDX1, and pyruvate.
