, an endemic labeonine fish, was reported distributed in the lower Yarlung Tsangpo River drainage with little published biological information. Herein, we sequenced and characterized the complete mitochondrial genome of , which was 16,806 bp in length, containing 13 PCGs, 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, one light strand replication origin ( ), one control region (D-loop), and one replication region. Phylogenetic analysis based on 13 PCGs sequences revealed that had a closest relationship with . Then, both species clustered with other species of , and next grouped with other genera of subfamily Labeoninae.

Aims: We evaluated the safety, efficacy, and patient adherence to oral ANS-6637, a selective, reversible inhibitor of aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2), for treating alcohol use disorder (AUD).

Methods: A 3-arm, double-blind, randomized, proof-of-concept human laboratory study embedded in a 5-week multisite clinical trial tested 200 mg and 600 mg daily doses of ANS-6637 compared to placebo in treatment-seeking adults with AUD. After 1 week of medication, participants completed an alcohol cue reactivity session.

Objective: Mitochondrial genome sequences are very useful for understanding the mitogenome evolution itself and reconstructing phylogeny of different plant lineages. Bauhinia purpurea, a species from the legume family Leguminosae, is widely distributed in South China and has high ornamental value. Here, we sequenced and assembled the mitogenome of B.

Repeated traumatic brain injury has grown in importance as sports-related injuries have increased. Repetitive mild TBI (rmTBI) increases the risk of developing neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, as well as chronic comorbidities like PTSD, depression, substance abuse and neuroendocrine functions. However, no effective therapeutic strategies have been reported for the effective management of TBI.

mtSTAT3 suppresses rheumatoid arthritis by regulating Th17 and synovial fibroblast inflammatory cell death with IL-17-mediated autophagy dysfunction.

Lab of Translational ImmunoMedicine, Catholic Research Institute of Medical Science, College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea, Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Th17 cells are activated by STAT3 factors in the nucleus, and these factors are correlated with the pathologic progression of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Recent studies have demonstrated the presence of STAT3 in mitochondria, but its function is unclear. We investigated the novel role of mitochondrial STAT3 (mitoSTAT3) in Th17 cells and fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLSs) and analyzed the correlation of mitoSTAT3 with RA.
