Currently, human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines are in short supply, so the development of HPV vaccines has a broad market prospect. The 3-, 9-, and 15-valent HPV vaccines developed by ourselves all contain HPV58-derived antigen components. It is important to detect HPV 58 during vaccine production. Here, we introduced a development process of HPV58 type-specific antibodies and a detection kit. Briefly, HPV58 L1-Virus Like Particles (VLPs) were used as antigens to immunize mice, followed by extraction of the ascites to prepare hybridoma cells. After culturing, the supernatants containing secreted antibodies were harvested, purified, and screened to obtain monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). In the pool of attained monoclonal antibodies, we selected 2F7 and 2G7 to evaluate their subtypes, specificity, neutralizing activity, serum competition, binding affinity and gene sequencing. Finally, an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection kit was assembled with 2F7 and 2G7 mAbs which possessed high specificity to HPV58 L1-VLPs. The detection kit developed by 2F7 and 2G7 could be adopted to specifically detect HPV58 L1 protein with good linearity and detection range, which could be widely used in clinical testing and quality control in the production of HPV vaccines. BSA: Bovine serum albumin; CDRs: Complementarity-determining regions; CV: Coefficient of variation; DTT: Dithiothreitol; ELISA: Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay; HAT: Hypoxanthine-aminopterin-thymidine; HPV: Human Papillomavirus; IC: 50% inhibition rate; IC: 90% inhibition rate; mAbs: Monoclonal antibodies; VLP: Virus-like particle.

Enzootic bovine leukosis (EBL) is a malignant lymphoma of cattle that is mainly caused by bovine leukemia virus (BLV) infection. In this study, PCR-RFLP was used to investigate the frequency of the DRB3*009:02 allele in several farms with different herd management practices in Japan. A total of 742 Holsteins (384) and Japanese Blacks (230) were used as the sample size for the study, which was larger than the number of cattle in the study area with a confidence level of 95 % and a margin of error of 8.

Despite improvements in therapeutic approaches, the mortality rate of gastric cancer (GC) remains unacceptably high. Evidence suggests that FXYD domain containing ion transport regulator 6 (FXYD6) is downregulated in GC. However, its exact function and the molecular mechanism in GC are still unclear.

Background: Multiparameter immunoblot testing is increasingly used as an alternative to multiple individual IgE analyses for type 1 allergies. This study investigated the performance of an inexpensive immunoblot method, the RIDA qLine allergy test system (R-Biopharm AG), vs. the current gold standard.

Background: Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play a pivotal role in the development and advancement of various cancer types. However, the involvement of circ-PAN3 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is not well understood. To shed light on this, we conducted a comprehensive study through biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics techniques to investigate the role of circ-PAN3 and its associated pathway in the progression of HCC.

Background: The outcomes of pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) remain far less than favorable. While apigenin is an anti-cancer agent, studies on the mechanism by which it regulates ALL cell cycle progression are inadequate. Ferroptosis and AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling are important processes for ALL patients.
