Summary: Temperature is very important for the growth of microorganisms. Appropriate temperature conditions can improve the possibility for isolation of currently uncultured microorganisms. The development of metagenomic binning technology had dramatically increased the availability of genomic information of prokaryotes, providing convenience to infer the optimal growth temperature (OGT). Here, we proposed CnnPOGTP, a predictor for OGTs of prokaryotes based on deep learning method using only k-mers distribution derived from genomic sequence. This method was annotation free, and the predicted OGT could be obtained by simply providing the genome sequence to the CnnPOGTP website.

Background: Preeclampsia significantly impacts maternal and perinatal health. Early screening using advanced models and primary prevention with low-dose acetylsalicylic acid for high-risk populations is crucial to reduce the disease's incidence. This study assesses the feasibility of implementing preterm preeclampsia screening and prevention by leveraging information from our current aneuploidy screening program in a real-world setting with geographic separation clinical site and laboratory analysis site.

Fat greenling (Hexagrammos otakii Jordan & Starks, 1895) is a valuable marine fish species, crucial for aquaculture in Northern China due to its high-quality meat and significant economic value. However, the aquaculture industry faces challenges such as trait degradation, early sexual maturity, and disease susceptibility, necessitating advanced genomic interventions for sustainable cultivation. This study presents the first chromosomal-level genome assembly of H.
