Effective p-type doping is essential to enhance hole transport and balance electron-hole injection in quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). Here, an oligothiophene material is adopted as a p-type dopant in the hole-transport layer, considering its cruciform cross-center structure, precise molecular weight, and high purity. Compared with the dopant-free counterpart, hole transport capability at the optimal doping level exhibits a significant improvement, producing a boosted external quantum efficiency (EQE) and luminance up to 20.8%, 213 439 cd m , respectively, among the highest reported on the red-light emission. The work indicates the potential applications of oligothiophene material in red light-emitting devices.

A TiO/CdS heterostructure has been widely investigated as a potential photoanode for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting for hydrogen evolution. However, the efficiency and stability still remain challenging due to the sluggish reaction dynamics for water oxidation and easy photocorrosion of CdS. Here we report a ternary TiO/CdS/IrO heterostructure with IrO as a hole transport layer for PEC glycerol oxidation coupled with hydrogen evolution.

Highly efficient single-layer organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) are demonstrated by using a pure Mg cathode that is seeded with a small amount of Ag nucleation sites. Bis(4-phenylthieno[3,2-]pyridinato-,C2')(acetylacetonate)iridium(III) (PO-01)-doped devices with three-, two-, and one-region doping configurations exhibit maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) values of 22.8%, 21.

During the filling process of LNG tank trucks, due to the long-term operation of filling equipment in low temperature and high-pressure conditions, the sealing parts in the equipment are prone to failure, leading to leaks. The reasons for the leakage of LNG filling equipment were analyzed, and the diffusion of LNG after different equivalent leakage hole diameters and different wind speeds were numerically analyzed. A gas leak monitoring system suitable for LNG filling stations was established based on TDLAS technology.

Highly efficient perovskite solar cells (PSCs) in the n-i-p structure have demonstrated limited operational lifetimes, primarily due to the layer-to-layer ion diffusion in the perovskite/doped hole-transport layer (HTL) heterojunction, leading to conductivity drop in HTL and component loss in perovskite. Herein, we introduce an ultrathin (~7 nm) p-type polymeric interlayer (D18) with excellent ion-blocking ability between perovskite and HTL to address these issues. The ultrathin D18 interlayer effectively inhibits the layer-to-layer diffusion of lithium, methylammonium, formamidium, and iodide ions.

Tightly bound electron-hole pairs (excitons) hosted in atomically-thin semiconductors have emerged as prospective elements in optoelectronic devices for ultrafast and secured information transfer. The controlled exciton transport in such excitonic devices requires manipulating potential energy gradient of charge-neutral excitons, while electrical gating or nanoscale straining have shown limited efficiency of exciton transport at room temperature. Here, we report strain gradient induced exciton transport in monolayer tungsten diselenide (WSe) across microns at room temperature via steady-state pump-probe measurement.
