Objective: () has evolved as one of the most significant bacteria causing food poisoning outbreaks worldwide. This study was carried out to investigate the prevalence, antibiotic sensitivity, virulence, and enterotoxin production of in raw milk of cow from small-scale production units and house-raised animals in Damietta governorate, Egypt.
Material And Methods: The samples were examined bacteriologically, and antimicrobial sensitivity testing was carried out. Moreover, isolates were characterized by the molecular detection of antimicrobial resistance, virulence, and enterotoxin genes.
Results: Out of 300 milk samples examined, was isolated from 50 samples (16.7%). Antibiotic sensitivity testing revealed that isolates were resistant to β-lactams (32%), tetracycline (16%), and norfloxacin (16%); however, they showed considerable sensitivity to ceftaroline and amikacin (72%). Multidrug-resistance (MDR) has been observed in eight isolates (16%), with a MDR index (0.5) in all of them. Of the total isolates obtained, methicillin-resistant (MRSA) has been confirmed molecularly in 16/50 (32%) and was found to carry and genes, while virulence genes; (11/16, 68.75%) and (6/16, 37.5%) were amplified at a lower percentage, and they showed a significant moderate negative correlation ( = -0.59, -value > 0.05). Antibiotic resistance genes have been detected in resistant isolates relevant to their phenotypic resistance: (100%), (50%), and (50%). Fifty percent of MRSA isolates carried the enterotoxin gene.
Conclusion: High detection rate of MRSA and MDR isolates from milk necessitates the prompt implementation of efficient antimicrobial stewardship guidelines, especially at neglected small-scale production units.

The exploration of digital transformation peer effects on the innovation performance of emerging industries is crucial for analyzing the underlying mechanisms of digital transformation, optimizing resource allocation among peer enterprises, and enhancing industrial competitiveness. This study empirically examines the influence of digital transformation peer effects on the innovation performance of the photovoltaic industry, using data from 150 photovoltaic companies listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen between 2011 and 2022. The study found that: (1) The digital transformation of the photovoltaic industry is influenced by regional and industry-specific peer effects.

Mandatory environmental information disclosure is characterized by formal environmental regulation and that the content of the disclosure promotes public participation and oversight in the environmental field. This paper studies the impact of mandatory environmental information disclosure (EID) enforcement in China on corporate capital cost using a difference-in-difference model. The results indicate that mandatory EID increases debt capital cost, but has no significant impact on equity capital cost, which differs from mainstream research that suggest EID can reduce capital cost.

In view of the urgent concerns pertaining to the proliferation of rural wastewater discharges and the imperative for decentralized treatment, this article examines the phenomenon of physical clogging in a small-scale horizontal submerged flow artificial wetland system. Through a combination of experimental analysis and CFD-EDM numerical simulations, the impact of clogging on the hydraulic efficiency of the system was subjected to rigorous examination. Based on these findings, an innovative design strategy was proposed, namely the addition of vertical baffles.

Bovine brucellosis and bovine tuberculosis are zoonotic diseases with economic and public health importance across the world, especially in developing countries where the diseases are endemic. The diseases are classified as neglected diseases in developing nations with poor resources despite good control measures in some developed countries. The purpose of this study is to assess the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions (KAP) of stakeholders towards control measures for bovine brucellosis (BR) and bovine tuberculosis (bTB) at a livestock-wildlife interface.

Buffer exchange is a critical step in biologics development, playing a pivotal role in removing contaminants, adjusting sample conditions, and facilitating compatibility studies. The efficiency of centrifugal concentrators for polysorbate removal was compared to a two-step approach involving a surfactant removal column followed by buffer exchange. Trastuzumab-pkrb from Herzuma® was used.
