We investigated the frequency bandwidth, autocorrelation function, and complexity of chaotic temporal waveforms in unidirectionally coupled semiconductor lasers with time-delayed optical feedback. The effective bandwidth, peak value of autocorrelation function, and maximum Lyapunov exponent were simultaneously optimized by searching several control parameters of the laser systems based on multiobjective genetic algorithms. We found a conflicting relation between the effective bandwidth enhancement and the time-delay signature suppression, and a detailed relationship between the maximum Lyapunov exponent and the peak value of autocorrelation function.

Intra-specific interactions among top carnivores are among the most intriguing behavioural aspects and essential components of population dynamics. Static interactions pertain to space use, while dynamic interactions involve spatio-temporal patterns influenced by social structure, distribution, mate selection, and density. Previous studies have focused on static interactions, successfully estimating spatial overlap but leading to a knowledge gap of dynamic interaction to be able to compute attraction and avoidance on similar spatio-temporal scales.

The time-evolution of dynamics as well as microstructure and mechanical response of phosphate-based geopolymers was probed using x-ray photon correlation spectroscopy and rheological tests. The analyzed relaxation processes in the freshly prepared geopolymer mixes evidenced a q-independent mode of the autocorrelation function, ascribed to density fluctuations of the already established molecular network, undergoing reconfiguration without significant mass transport. Upon curing, the detected motions are localized and depict a system evolving toward structural arrest dominated by slower hyperdiffusive dynamics, characterized by a compressed exponential regime, pointing to a structural relaxation process subjected to internal stresses, in a context of marked dynamical and structural heterogeneity.

Background Breast cancer represents a significant public health concern in India, accounting for 28% of all cancer diagnoses and imposing a substantial economic burden. This study introduces a novel approach to forecasting the number of breast cancer cases (based on prevalence rates) and estimating the associated economic impact in India using the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model. Methods Data on the prevalence of breast cancer in India from 2000 to 2021 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) database.

While artificial light in urban environments was previously thought to override seasonality in humans, recent studies have challenged this assumption. We aimed to explore the relationship between seasonally varying environmental factors and changes in sleep architecture in patients with neuropsychiatric sleep disorders by comparing two consecutive years. In 770 patients, three-night polysomnography was performed at the Clinic for Sleep & Chronomedicine (St.

This study explores the intricate dynamics of volatility within high-frequency financial markets, focusing on 225 of Chinese listed companies from 2016 to 2023. Utilizing 5-minute high-frequency data, we analyze the realized volatility of individual stocks across six distinct time scales: 5-minute, 10-minute, 30-minute, 1-hour, 2-hour, and 4-hour intervals. Our investigation reveals a consistent power law decay in the auto-correlation function of realized volatility across all time scales.
