The anisotropic crystallite sizes in high-performance LiFePO powders were measured by XRD and compared with the particle sizes found by TEM image analysis. Lognormal particle size distribution functions were determined for all three main crystallographic axes. A procedure was developed to determine the fraction of the composite particles which consists of several crystallites and contains small- and large-angle boundaries. In a sample with the most anisotropic crystallites (ratio of volume-weighted mean crystallite sizes / = 1.41) the number of the composite particles was at least 30%.

The Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) data of Nelumbo Nucifera fibre is utilized to study multifaceted properties. Rietveld refinement was carried out along with cellulose phase. The crystallite size was computed using the Scherrer equation, and through first principle calculations, it has been illustrated and concluded that the size is not ellipsoidal, as previously suggested by other researchers; rather, it exhibits a multidimensional shape.

Understanding crystallization behavior is integral to the design of pharmaceutical compounds for which the pharmacological properties depend on the crystal forms achieved. Very often, these crystals are based on hydrophobic molecules. One method for delivering crystal-forming hydrophobic drugs is by means of lipid nanoparticle carriers.

Nanofibrous active layers offer hierarchical control over molecular structure, and the size and distribution of electron donor:acceptor domains, beyond conventional organic photovoltaic architectures. This structure is created by forming donor pathways via electrospinning nanofibers of semiconducting polymer, then infiltrating with an electron acceptor. Electrospinning induces chain and crystallite alignment, resulting in enhanced light-harvesting and charge transport.

This study investigates the crystallization, microstructure, and performance of poly(lactic acid)/poly(butylene succinate) (PLA/PBS) thin films processed through blown film extrusion and biaxial orientation (BO) at various blend ratios. Succinic anhydride (SA) was used to enhance interfacial adhesion in PLA-rich blends, while blends near 50/50 formed co-continuous phases without SA. Biaxial stretching and annealing, adjusted according to the crystallization behavior of PLA and PBS, significantly influenced crystallinity, crystallite size, and molecular orientation.
