In recent years, metal halide perovskite-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have garnered significant attention as they display high quantum efficiency, good spectral tunability, and are expected to have low processing costs. When the peak emission wavelength is beyond 900 nm the interest is even higher because of the critical importance of this wavelength for biomedical imaging, night vision, and sensing. However, many challenges persist in fabricating these high-performance NIR LEDs, particularly for wavelengths above 950 nm, which appear to be limited by low radiance and poor stability.

Achieving high efficiency narrowband near-ultraviolet (NUV) emitters in organic light emitting diode (OLED) is still a formidable challenge. Herein, a proof-of-concept hybridized local and charge transfer (HLCT) molecule, named ICz-BO, is prepared and characterized, in which both multiresonant (MR) skeletons are integrated via conjugation connection. A slightly distorted structure and weak intramolecular charge transfer (CT) interaction between two MR subunits lead to a high-lying reverse intersystem crossing (h-RISC) channel of T→S, also evidenced by both experimental and calculated results.

To investigate the effects of steric hindrance fluorene and heavy-atom bromine on the general optoelectronic properties of star-shaped organic emitters based on 9-(2-cyanophenyl) carbazole (OCzPhCN) frameworks, heavy element of bromine and steric hindrance fluorene were introduced into OCzPhCN to produce four derivatives of 2-(3-bromo-9H-carbazol-9-yl)benzonitrile (BrCzPhCN), 2-(3-bromo-6-(9-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-9H-fluoren-9-yl)-9H-carbazol-9-yl)benzonitrile (BrFCzPhCN), 2-(3-(9-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-9H-fluoren-9-yl)-9H-carbazol-9-yl)benzonitrile (FCzPhCN) and 2-(3,6-bis(9-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-9H-fluoren-9-yl)-9H-carbazol-9-yl)benzonitrile (2FCzPhCN). The fluorene units obviously improve the thermal stability of the obtained compounds, and 2FCzPhCN has the highest thermal stability with 5 % mass heat loss temperature reaching 447 °C. In different polar solvents, the absorption peaks wavelength of OCzPhCN, FCzPhCN and 2FCzPhCN are basically unchanged, and the redshifted emission peaks are positively correlated with solvent polarity.

(BC) is a perennial herb that is frequently used as a traditional medicine. Its leaves and rhizomes are reported to have significant antioxidant, metal-reducing, and chelating properties. Although the rhizomes have the potential to synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), the leaves are yet to be studied for the green synthesis of metal nanoparticles.

Organic-inorganic hybrid halides have gained attention for their ease of processing and remarkable optoelectronic properties. However, the relationship between the structure and optical properties requires further exploration. In this study, the butyltrimethylammonium cation (CHN) was chosen, and seven compounds were synthesized: (CHN)SbX (X = Cl, Br), (CHN)BiX (X = Cl, Br, I), and (CHN)(CHN)MBr (M = Sb, Bi).
