: Despite recent decades' rapid advances in the management of patients with sepsis and septic shock, global sepsis mortality and post-acute sepsis morbidity rates remain high. Our aim was, therefore, to provide a first overview of sepsis care pathways as well as barriers and supportive conditions for optimal pre-clinical, clinical, and post-acute sepsis care in Germany. : Between May and September 2023, we conducted semi-structured, video-based, one-to-one pilot expert interviews with healthcare professionals representing pre-hospital, clinical, and post-acute care settings.

Objective: Most of the patients who are admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) are forced to feed and use nutrition and medicine through an implanted tube. When administering medication through enteral feeding tubes, it is essential to be cautious, as some drugs may not be suitable due to interactions with feeding formulas or adverse effects when crushed. Some errors during drug gavage can lead to feeding tube blockage, reduced drug effectiveness, or drug toxicity.

Asthma is a prevalent chronic inflammatory disorder of the respiratory tract that not only manifests with respiratory symptoms but also often involves intestinal flora disorders and gastrointestinal dysfunction. Recent studies have confirmed the close relationship between the gut and lungs, known as the "gut-lung axis" theory. Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), a method for restoring normal intestinal flora, has shown promise in treating common gastrointestinal diseases.

Reproductive success is dependent on gamete integrity, and oxidative stress alters male nuclei, meaning that no DNA repair is possible due to chromatin compaction. The composition of sperm makes it highly sensitive to reactive oxygen species (ROS) but, at the same time, ROS are needed for sperm physiology. Over the past 30 years, much attention has been paid to the consequences of oxidative stress on sperm properties and the protective effects of antioxidant formulations to help fertility.

Background: This study aims to detect Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC) DNA in intraocular fluid from clinically suspected tuberculous uveitis patients using multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and investigate the diagnostic utility of multiplex PCR for tuberculous uveitis.
Methods: Primers targeting three specific genes (MPB64, CYP141, and IS6110) within the MTBC genome were designed. Multiplex PCR was conducted using DNA from the H37Rv strain as well as DNA extracted from fluids of confirmed tuberculosis patients to assess primer specificity and method feasibility.
