Unlabelled: Rhynchophylline (RIN) and isorhynchophylline (IRN), the main medicinal components in plant , have potential effects on Alzheimer's disease. Understanding the influence of environmental factors, especially light intensity, on the production of these active ingredients will help to improve cultivation techniques. Compared with the 100% light intensity (CK), the contents of RIN and IRN in leaves significantly increased at 20% light intensity (HS) after 7 and 21 days. Short-term shading (21d) changed some morphological indicators of , but did not affect its biomass. Transcriptome profile analysis was performed on data from two groups (7 and 21 days) of CK and HS samples and yielded 79,817 unigenes with an average length of 1023 bp. Concurrently, 2391 and 2136 differentially expressed genes were identified in the transcriptome data for, respectively, 7 and 21 days of shade treatment. Notably, unigenes known to be involved upstream in the biosynthesis of RIN and IRN, such as , , , , , and were mostly upregulated. In addition, 1065 putative transcription factors (TFs) were identified and grouped into 55 TF families; 26 TFs showed differential expression in the shade treatment after 7 and 21 days. HY5 and PIFs, two important TFs of the light signaling pathway, also showed differential expression. This study provides insight into how gene expression was affected by light intensity during RIN and IRN accumulation in .

Driven by the pressing demand for integration and miniaturization within the terahertz (THz) spectrum, this research introduces an innovative approach to construct chiral structures using dichroism as the target function. This initiative aims to tackle the prevalent issues of single-functionality, narrow application scope, and intricate design in conventional metasurfaces. The proposed multifunctional tunable metasurface employs a graphene-metal hybrid structure to address the critical constraints found in existing designs.

Spin-orbit coupling (SOC) induced nontrivial bandgap and complex Fermi surface has been considered to be profitable for thermoelectrics, which, however, is generally appreciable only in heavy elements, thereby detrimental to practical application. In this study, the SOC-driven extraordinary thermoelectric performance in a light 2D material Fe₂S₂ is demonstrated via first-principles calculations. The abnormally strong SOC, induced by electron correlation through 3d orbitals polarization, significantly renormalizes the band structures, which opens the bandgap via Fe 3d orbitals inversion, exposes the second conduction valley with weak electron-phonon coupling, and aligns the energy of Fe 3d and S 3p orbitals with divergent momentum in valence band.

Purpose: Radionuclide-labeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI) is an emerging tumor tracer. We sought to assess the uptake and diagnostic performance of F-FAPI-42 PET/CT compared with simultaneous 2-deoxy-2[F]fluoro-D-glucose (F-FDG) PET/CT in primary and metastatic lesions in patients with malignant digestive system neoplasms and to determine the potential clinical benefit.
Procedures: Forty-two patients (men = 30, women = 12, mean age = 56.

Hanbury-Brown and Twiss (HBT) effect is the foundation for stellar intensity interferometry. However, it is a phase insensitive two-photon interference effect. Here we extend the HBT interferometer by mixing intensity-matched reference fields with the input fields before intensity correlation measurement.

A set of nCN/WO composites was synthesized through a simple thermal treatment for gold recovery from the simulated effluent of a non-cyanide-based plating bath. The obtained results exhibited that all nCN/WO composites demonstrated a higher photocatalytic activity for gold recovery than their pristine components due to the formation of nanocomposites which paved a convenient pathway for charge transfer. Among all synthesized composites, the 5.
