AI Article Synopsis

  • The dataset includes chemical parameters of Lake Onego water collected across different seasons from 2019 to 2021.
  • It measures various factors such as ion concentrations, organic matter levels, nutrients, heavy metals, and water quality indicators using multiple analytical methods.
  • The results can be used for comparing Lake Onego's hydrochemical characteristics with other large lakes and assessing overall water quality in specific areas of the lake.

Article Abstract

The present dataset contains the chemical parameters of Lake Onego water. The data were obtained in different seasons covering the period 2019-2021. The concentration of Na and Cl ions, the content of organic matter (TOC, COD, COD, water color, BOD), nutrients (PO-P, TP, NH-N, NO-N, NO-N, TN), Fe, Mn, heavy metals (Cu, Ni, Cr, Zn, Cd, Pb), total suspended solids (TSS), conductivity, and pH of water were measured. The analyses were carried out by atomic absorption spectrometry, ICP-MS, spectrophotometric, spectrometric, gravimetric, flamephotometric, titrimetric methods, potentiometric, and conductometric determination. The data are useful for comparative analysis of the hydrochemical characteristics of Lake Onego and other large lakes, and they also allow to assess the water quality of the lake as a whole and in its particular individual areas.
