A new family, Qinococcidae Wu, fam. n., is established for the species Qinococcus podocarpus gen. n. and sp. n., collected from southern China under the bark of Podocarpus macrophyllus (Podocarpaceae). The adult female and male, egg, and all immature instars including the male pupa of Q. podocarpus sp. n. are described and illustrated. The new family is diagnosed mainly on the adult male possessing an inverted -like post-tergite and unusual venation of the fore wing, with a pterostigma, posterior cubital vein and bifurcate anterior flexing patch. A key to all the developmental stages is provided.

Brain tumors, particularly Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) and Low-Grade Gliomas (LGG), present significant clinical challenges due to their aggressive nature and resistance to conventional treatments. Traditional therapies such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation are often limited in efficacy, necessitating novel therapeutic strategies. Nanotechnology, particularly the use of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs), offers a targeted and potentially more effective approach.

Streetlamp light is inevitable in the night landscape of a city and may affect the phenology of newly planted ornamental plants, but it has rarely been fully examined. Newly transplanted ornamental plants probably suffer periodic shocks, which mainly result from the inefficient reuse of internal nutrients for new growth. Exponential nutrient loading (ENL) is well known for its ability to overcome transplant shocks by promoting retranslocation for the reuse of strengthened nutrients from internal reserves in precultured seedlings.

Podocarpus is the most dominant genus of Podocarpaceae, with higher taxonomical proximity to the Taxaceae, having numerous pharmaceutical applications, however, scarce studies dealing with the physiological and metabolic criteria of in Egypt were reported. Thus, the objective of this work was to assess the physiological and metabolical patterns of the different species of ; and The highest terpenoids contents were reported in , followed by , and . had the highest antioxidants amount, followed by , and .

As a major source of air pollution, particulate matter (PM) and associated toxic trace elements pose potentially serious threats to human health and environmental safety. As is known that plants can reduce air PM pollution. However, the relationship between PM of different sizes and toxic trace elements in foliar PM is still unclear.
