A new Nudariina genus, Processuridia S.-Y. Huang Volynkin gen. n. is erected for two new species described herein: Processuridia thangka S.-Y. Huang Volynkin sp. n. from southeastern Xizang, southwestern China and P. oreas Volynkin S.-Y. Huang sp. n. from southeastern Yunnan, southwestern China and Mt. Fansipan, northern Vietnam, with P. thangka sp. n. as the type species of the genus. Based on molecular phylogenetic analysis, the new genus is found to be sister to the clade (Asuridia Hampson + Disasuridia Fang), but it can be easily distinguished from both genera by the unique wing pattern and genitalia features. Adults and genitalia of the aforementioned taxa are illustrated.

Background: Magnetic resonance (MR) diffusion-derived 'vessel density' (DDVD) is calculated according to: DDVD = Sb0/ROI - S/ROI, where S and S refer to the tissue signal when -value is 0 or 2 s/mm. S and ROI can also be approximated by other low -values diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). This study investigates the influence of the second motion probing gradient -value and T2 on DDVD calculations of the liver, spleen, and liver simple cyst.

Fusion of FDG and FMZ PET Reduces False Positive in Predicting Epileptogenic Zone.

AJNR Am J Neuroradiol

January 2025

From the School of Biomedical Engineering (B.C., H.H., J.L., S.Y., Y.C., J.L.), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China; Department of Neurosurgery (S.J., J.H., L.C.), and PET Center (W.B.), Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai, China.

Background And Purpose: Epilepsy, a globally prevalent neurological disorder, necessitates precise identification of the epileptogenic zone (EZ) for effective surgical management. While the individual utilities of FDG PET and FMZ PET have been demonstrated, their combined efficacy in localizing the epileptogenic zone remains underexplored. We aim to improve the non-invasive prediction of epileptogenic zone (EZ) in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) by combining FDG PET and FMZ PET with statistical feature extraction and machine learning.

Solid electrolytes (SEs) are crucial for advancing next-generation rechargeable battery technologies, but their commercial viability is partially limited by expensive precursors, unscalable synthesis, or low ionic conductivity. Lithium tetrahaloaluminates offer an economical option but exhibit low Li conductivities with high activation energy barriers. This study reports the synthesis of lithium aluminum chalcohalide (LiAlClS) using inexpensive precursors one-step mechanochemical milling.

Analytical expressions of specific yield for shallow groundwater estimation and modeling.

Environ Monit Assess

January 2025

Chinese-Israeli International Center for Research and Training in Agriculture, China Agricultural University, Beijing, People's Republic of China.

Specific yield (S) is an essential hydrogeological parameter in groundwater-related modeling and estimation. In this study, we proposed several new analytical expressions of S to characterize the nonlinear variations of S under shallow groundwater environments, encompassing S for three-layered soil, transition zone S, and flux-dependent S (in Boussinesq-type equation). The proposed S expression for three-layered soils expanded the applicability of previous expressions for homogeneous soil.
