Unlabelled: Tocilizumab is a monoclonal antibody used in the treatment of several inflammatory and autoimmune diseases as well as cancers. Tocilizumab improves clinical outcomes and reduce mortality rates in patients with COVID-19 disease. A novel, simple and reliable method was developed to determine tocilizumab using micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC). Separation of tocilizumab and the internal standard, methotrexate, was achieved with a background electrolyte consisting of phosphoric acid buffer and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) with UV detection at 195 nm. The method was linear in the concentration range from 10 to 250 µg/mL with correlation coefficient greater than 0.995. The method was successfully applied to the analysis of human and rat plasma samples with good recoveries. Sample preparation involved protein precipitation followed by dilution of the supernatant. The intra- and inter-day precisions were less than 5%, the accuracy varied from - 2.71 to 3.84%. The proposed method has acceptable analytical performance and could be applied in future clinical and pharmacokinetic studies including anticancer therapy.

Our current prospective cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the effect of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drugs used in the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity on retinal maturation and persistent avascular retina (PAR). Retinal imaging was performed with Optos confocal laser ophthalmoscopy for 100 patients aged 4 to 8 years who were screened and treated for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) during the neonatal period. The ROP examination findings (stage and zone) and treatment history (age in weeks at time of treatment and anti-VEGF drug used) from the neonatal period were reviewed.

In the past decade, the treatment paradigm for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) has markedly shifted from traditional chemoimmunotherapy towards targeted therapies. A fixed-duration, targeted regimen with venetoclax, a potent oral BCL-2 inhibitor, combined with obinutuzumab, a glycoengineered type II anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody (Ven-Obi), has become the standard to beat for time-limited therapy in CLL. Ven-Obi allows for the rapid induction of remissions with high rates of undetectable minimal residual disease (uMRD) in patients across different treatment settings.

Introduction: Tacrolimus-induced thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) causing acute kidney injury (AKI) without systemic features is a rare entity, particularly after non-renal solid organ transplantation.
Case Report: We describe the case of a patient with AKI after combined heart and lung transplantation. Renal biopsy revealed acute thrombotic microangiopathy which ultimately prompted initiation of eculizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeted against complement C5, with subsequent recovery in renal function.

Brentuximab vedotin (BV)-bendamustine (90 or 120 mg/m2 day 1 and 2) every 28 days is an effective treatment for relapsed/refractory Hodgkin lymphoma (R/R HL) but associated to high toxicity especially for elderly patients. We conducted in St Louis Hospital, Paris, between 2015 and 2021 a retrospective single-center analysis of 44 patients with R/R HL treated with one-day BV-bendamustine (120 mg/m2) every 21 days. Sixteen percent of patients were ≥ 60 years old (yo).
