Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites [NHNH][X(HCOO)] (X = Mn, Fe, Co) have a so-called "wine-rack" type of geometry that could give origin to the rare property of negative linear compressibility, which is an exotic and highly desirable material response. We use first-principles density functional theory computations to probe the response of these materials to hydrostatic pressure and predict that, indeed, all three of them exhibit negative linear compressibility above a critical pressure of 1 GPa. Calculations reveal that, under pressure, XO octahedra and -HCOO ligands remain relatively rigid while XO octahedra tilt significantly, which leads to highly anisotropic mechanical properties and expansion along certain directions. These trends are common for the three materials considered.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is a leading cause of years lived with disability. However, the association of non-chronic LBP with levels of daily physical activity (PA) remains poorly explored. This study investigated the association between previous and current non-chronic LBP with daily PA and compliance with PA recommendations in middle and older-aged adults.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the relationships between kinesiophobia and injury severity, balance ability, knee pain intensity, self-efficacy, and functional status in patients with meniscus injuries and to identify key predictors of kinesiophobia.

Design: A single-center, prospective cross-sectional study.

Methods: A cross-sectional study involving 123 patients diagnosed with meniscus injuries at Fujian Provincial Hospital was conducted.

To develop and validate non-contrast computed tomography (NCCT)-based radiomics method combines machine learning (ML) to investigate invisible microscopic acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) lesions. We retrospectively analyzed 1122 patients from August 2015 to July 2022, whose were later confirmed AIS by diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). However, receiving a negative result was reported by radiologists according to the NCCT images.

Abuse of new drugs, such as Rush poppers, methamphetamine, Magu, Ketamine, and Ecstasy, is common among men who have sex with men (MSM) in China, leading to increased risks of sexually explicit media consumption, sexual violence, and sexual risk behaviors. This study aimed to explore the prevalence and relationships of these behaviors among MSM with new drug abuse. A cross-sectional study was conducted from January to June 2021, involving 453 MSM in Jinan, China.

Objectives: Oral and periodontal health have been linked to systemic health, cardiovascular disease and inflammation markers. Physical fitness has been linked to increased inflammatory response, but only few studies have investigated the association between oral health with physical activity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between oral and periodontal health status and physical fitness in British law enforcement workers.
