The construction of an admirable hybrid bulk-heterojunction (HBH) can benefit the performance of optoelectronic devices through efficient charge separation and transportation. However, the present HBH structure still suffers from complicated layer-by-layer ligand exchanges during device fabrication. In this work, we apply a liquid phase exchange strategy in mixed colloidal hybrids composed of quantum dots (QDs) and nanotetrapods (NTs) and construct low-cost flexible self-powered infrared photodetectors with a carbon electrode.

MXenes are two-dimensional (2D) materials with versatile applications in optoelectronics, batteries, and catalysis. To unlock their full potential, it is crucial to characterize MXene interfaces and intercalated species in more detail than is currently possible with conventional optical spectroscopies. Here, we combine ultra-broadband ellipsometry and transmission spectroscopy from the mid-infrared (IR) to the deep-ultraviolet (UV) to probe quantitatively the composition, structure, transport, and optical properties of spray-coated TiCT MXene thin films with varying material properties.

Algebraic structures play a vital role in securing important data. These structures are utilized to construct the non-linear components of block ciphers. Since constructing non-linear components through algebraic structures is crucial for the confusion aspects of encryption schemes, relying solely on these structures can result in limited key spaces.

Atomization-based techniques are widely used in pharmaceutical industry for production of fine drug particles due to their versatility and adaptability. Key performance measure of such techniques is their ability to provide control over critical quality attributes (CQAs) of produced drug particles. CQAs of drug particles produced via atomization critically depend on fluid dynamics of sprays; resulting mixing, heat and mass transfer; distribution of supersaturation and subsequent nucleation and growth of particles.
