The purpose of this study is to assess students' perception of digital waxing software for dental anatomy education. Dental students were introduced to digital waxing during a dental anatomy course, and were requested to finish a voluntary survey. Students strongly agreed (18.2%) or agreed (48.0%) with the statement "digital waxing contributed to my learning of dental anatomy", and strongly agreed (29.9%) and agreed (55.8%) with the statement "The digital waxing software helped develop my wax-up skills". The digital waxing software may be effective for dental anatomy education, but students do not believe digital waxing can be a replacement for conventional wax-up practice.

This article describes a completely digital workflow for ceramic veneer preparation with computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing technology. A simplified 3-dimensionally printed tooth reduction guide for accurate intraoral trial restorations is manufactured to indicate the range of the unprepared tooth surfaces erupted beyond the digital esthetic waxing. By using the Medit Design software program, chairside tooth preparation is monitored by accurate measurement of the amount of tooth reduction relative to the required restorative contours.

The clinical presentation, cytologic findings, radiographic findings, and postmortem assessment of a cat with primary pulmonary adenocarcinoma with multiple digital metastasis are described. An unusual shifting, waxing and waning pattern of lameness, suspected to be an early manifestation of digital metastasis before any gross lesions were visible, was documented. Initial cytologic finding of a lung nodule was equivocal for diagnosis of neoplasia despite being strongly suspicious.
