The infrared spectra of germane, purified and enriched up to 88.1% of GeH, was measured at the temperature of (22.6±0.1) °C and different pressures with a Bruker Fourier transform infrared spectrometer IFS125HR and analyzed for the first time in the region of 2700-3200 cm where the stretching-bending Tetrad (ν+ν,ν+ν, ν+ν and ν+ν bands) of the ro-vibrational Octad of germane is located. The 3595 transitions belonging to the eight sub-bands of the Tetrad were assigned and theoretically analysed in the frame of the effective Hamiltonian model. The obtained set of 106 fitted parameters reproduces the initial 3595 experimental line positions with the d=6.81×10 cm. The presence of numerous resonance interactions in the Tetrad is discussed.

High clinical utility of long-read sequencing for precise diagnosis of congenital adrenal hyperplasia in 322 probands.

Hum Genomics

January 2025

Department of Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases, Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, National Clinical Research Center for Child Health and Disorders, Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Child Development and Disorders, Chongqing, China.

Background: The molecular genetic diagnosis of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is very challenging due to the high homology between the CYP21A2 gene and its pseudogene CYP21A1P.

Methodology: This study aims to assess the clinical efficacy of targeted long-read sequencing (T-LRS) by comparing it with a control method based on the combined assay (NGS, Multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification and Sanger sequencing) and to introduce T-LRS as a first-tier diagnostic test for suspected CAH patients to improve the precise diagnosis of CAH.

Results: A large cohort of 562 participants including 322 probands and 240 family members was enrolled for the perspective (96 probands) and prospective study (226 probands).

Background: Environmental exposures such as airborne pollutant exposures and socio-economic indicators are increasingly recognized as important to consider when conducting clinical research using electronic health record (EHR) data or other sources of clinical data such as survey data. While numerous public sources of geospatial and spatiotemporal data are available to support such research, the data are challenging to work with due to inconsistencies in file formats and spatiotemporal resolutions, computational challenges with large file sizes, and a lack of tools for patient- or subject-level data integration.

Results: We developed FHIR PIT (HL7® Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources Patient data Integration Tool) as an open-source, modular, data-integration software pipeline that consumes EHR data in FHIR® format and integrates the data at the level of the patient or subject with environmental exposures data of varying spatiotemporal resolutions and file formats.

Predictors of HIV testing adherence among men who have sex with men: a cross-sectional study.

BMC Public Health

January 2025

General and Specialized Nursing Department, Graduate Program in Fundamental Nursing, Universidade de São Paulo, Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto, Riberão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil.

Men who have sex with men are a target group for HIV prevention and control. HIV testing is part of a broader combination prevention strategy. This study aimed to analyze the predictors for adherence to HIV infection testing among Brazilian men who have sex with men.

Efficient and accurate nanocarrier development for targeted drug delivery is hindered by a lack of methods to analyze its cell-level biodistribution across whole organisms. Here we present Single Cell Precision Nanocarrier Identification (SCP-Nano), an integrated experimental and deep learning pipeline to comprehensively quantify the targeting of nanocarriers throughout the whole mouse body at single-cell resolution. SCP-Nano reveals the tissue distribution patterns of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) after different injection routes at doses as low as 0.

The correlation study between posterior fossa crowding and classical trigeminal neuralgia.

Acta Neurochir (Wien)

January 2025

Department of Neurosurgery, Hebei General Hospital, 348# Heping Road, Shijiazhuang City, 050000, Hebei Province, China.

Objective: To explore the correlation between posterior fossa crowding and the occurrence of classical trigeminal neuralgia (TN).

Methods: A total of 60 patients diagnosed with classical TN and 60 age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers were included as a control group for a case-control study. All subjects underwent high-resolution 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations (including 3D-FIESTA and 3D-TOF MRA sequences).
