The effects of reduced forms of nitrogen (NH and dissolved organic nitrogen (DON)) on the spatial distribution of diatoms and dinoflagellates in an estuarine-coastal water continuum were investigated from 2015 to 2019. The proportion of non-DIN in total nitrogen was utilized as an indicator of DON along with direct measurements of DON. While NO originated from Seomjin River, the abundant NH and DON occurred from Gwangyang Bay through Namhae. Diatoms were mostly confined to the upper estuarine system and dinoflagellates dominated in the regions with high levels of NH and DON. Generalized additive models also presented the different responses of diatoms and dinoflagellates to increases in NH and DON. Thus, our results highlight that diatoms dominate in NO-replete water with full access to the source and dinoflagellates take over the ecologically open niche in an anthropogenically polluted estuary with full access to reduced forms of nitrogen.

Poor response to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) remains an obstacle in the treatment of gastric cancer (GC). Super enhancers (SEs) are crucial for determining tumor cell survival under drug pressure. SE landscapes related to 5-FU-resistance are mapped to GC using chromatin immunoprecipitation-sequencing (ChIP-Seq).

In this analysis of PROSPECT (Probiotics: Prevention of Severe Pneumonia and Endotracheal Colonization Trial), we describe patient enrolment patterns and examine factors influencing site-based monthly enrolment.
Design: Retrospective analysis of a multicenter RCT.

Tumor heterogeneity, immune-suppressive microenvironment and the precise killing of tumor cells by drugs are important factors affecting tumor treatment. In this study, we developed environment-responsive drug delivery system (FM@IQ/PST&ZIF-8/DOX) based on ZIF-8 for tumor photothermal/immunotherapy/chemotherapy synergistic therapy. The prepared FM@IQ/PST&ZIF-8/DOX nanoplatfrom not only has highly drug loading capacity for chemotherapeutic drug-doxorubicin, but also erythrocyte membrance modified on their surface can endow their immunity-escaping property and prolong their blood circulation time.

To explore the mechanism of water inrush from the mine roof strata, a series of seepage-acoustic emission (SAE) experiments on red sandstone disc samples were carried out. The effects of the height to diameter ratio (H/D) and pore pressure on the mechanical, hydraulic and crack propagation properties of red sandstones were investigated. Test results show that, the peak load of rock samples declines with the decreasing H/D and increasing pore pressure.

Psychiatric disorders are highly comorbid, heritable, and genetically correlated [1-4]. The primary objective of cross-disorder psychiatric genetics research is to identify and characterize both the shared genetic factors that contribute to convergent disease etiologies and the unique genetic factors that distinguish between disorders [4, 5]. This information can illuminate the biological mechanisms underlying comorbid presentations of psychopathology, improve nosology and prediction of illness risk and trajectories, and aid the development of more effective and targeted interventions.
