1,2,3-Triazolylidene MIC M-complexes (M = Au, Pd, Pt) having 2-azetidinones and penicillin G substituents at the triazole ring were prepared by CuAAC on 2-azetidinones having a terminal alkyne tethered at N1, followed by alkylation of the 1,2,3-triazole ring and transmetallation [Au(I), Pd(II) and Pt(II)]. The Au-MIC complexes efficiently catalyze the regioselective cycloisomerization of enynes, while the Pt-MIC complexes were efficient catalysts in hydrosilylation reactions.

Sexual abuse is any non-consensual sexual act or behavior using force, with significant concern in "men who have sex with men" (MSM), and younger individuals. The incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STI) is also prevalent in the cases of sexual abuse in this population, showing the need for comprehensive medical and psychological intervention. This study presents a case of a 15-year-old Indonesian MSM adolescent who experienced three forced sexual intercourse with a mid-thirties male friend 6 months before the consultation.

Background: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has provoked a global health issue. Antimicrobial stewardship programs should be implemented to overcome this issue. The aim of this study was to determine the sensitivity patterns of the WHO Access, Watch, Reserve (AWaRe) group of antibiotics that assists in the selection of appropriate empiric antibiotic therapies.

Streptococcus pneumoniae is one of the major concerns of clinicians and one of the global public health problems. This pathogen is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). In the last few years, reduced genome sequencing costs have made it possible to explore more of the drug resistance of S.

We report here the identification of four gene functions of principal importance for the tolerance of meropenem stress in : cell division, cell envelope synthesis and maintenance, ATP metabolism, and transcription regulation. The primary mechanism of β-lactam antibiotics such as meropenem is inhibition of penicillin binding proteins, thus interfering with peptidoglycan crosslinking, weakening the cell envelope, and promoting cell lysis. However, recent systems biology approaches have revealed numerous downstream effects that are triggered by cell envelope damage and involve diverse cell processes.

Antibiotic resistance causes higher morbidity and mortality and higher healthcare costs. One of the factors influencing the emergence of antibiotic resistance is the inappropriate use of antibiotics. Clinical practitioners' incorrect prescription patterns and a disregard for antibiotic usage recommendations are the leading causes of this resistance.
