Despite different lifestyles, humankind has suffered from osteoporosis for thousands of years. A literature review concerning the history of osteoporosis in the following databases: Index Medicus, Medline, PubMed, and PMC Citations was done. In the final analysis, 18 review articles and 31 original papers were included.

Objective: Analysis of development of «robotic surgery» on the basis of historical prerequisites, review of the possibilities of the new Senhance robotic surgical system and determination of further perspective.
Material And Methods: A prospective group of 51 patients with surgical pathology who underwent surgical interventions using the new Senhance robotic system was analyzed. The study included 51 patients.

This review highlights the contributions of American oral and maxillofacial surgeons to the field of orthognathic surgery. The present state of the art and science of orthognathic surgery is the harvest of yesterday's innovation and research. An improved understanding of the biological and surgical principles and the routine involvement of orthodontics have fueled widespread adoption of a coordinated approach to the treatment of dentofacial problems.
