Considerable attention has recently been given to the contribution of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the healthcare sector to climate change. GHGs used in medical practice are regularly released into the atmosphere and contribute to elevations in global temperatures that produce detrimental effects on the environment and human health. Consequently, a comprehensive assessment of their global warming potential over 100 years (GWP) characteristics, and clinical uses, many of which have evaded scrutiny from policy makers due to their medical necessity, is needed.

Purpose: Anterior chamber air injection (ACAI) is a surgical technique used to decrease the occurrence of postoperative intraocular lens (IOL) haptic dislocation following phacovitrectomy with gas/air tamponade. The impact of this technique on IOL stability remains uncertain, prompting the design of this study to investigate further.
Methods: This study included 51 eyes of 51 patients who underwent phacovitrectomy with gas/air tamponade.

Background: To investigate the optimization of leadless pacemaker placement and to assess its impact on heart synchronization and tricuspid regurgitation.
Results: A clinical trial was conducted involving 53 patients who underwent leadless pacemaker implantation at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and Hangzhou First People's Hospital between March 2022 and February 2023. Implantation site localization was determined using the 18-segment method under RAO 30° imaging.

This is a novel case of idiopathic chylopericardium and chylothorax in a young male who had no significant medical history. He first presented with dyspnea due to idiopathic chylopericardium, which was refractory to medical and surgical treatments, including a medium-chain triglyceride diet, octreotide, and video-assisted pericardial window. The chylopericardium persisted and progressed to concomitant left-sided chylothorax.
