Introduction: Male breast cancer accounts for <1% of all breast cancer. We report a patient with prostate cancer during hormone therapy who developed breast cancer.
Case Presentation: An 88-year-old male underwent androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer and developed an induration in the left breast 7 years after the start of treatment. After close examination, he was diagnosed with left breast cancer with lymph node metastasis. The prostate cancer was stable in a hormone-sensitive state. Left mastectomy was performed and the pathological diagnosis was invasive ductal carcinoma.
Discussion: In addition to our patient, seven patients who developed breast cancer during hormone therapy for prostate cancer were examined. Five of six patients had stage II or above, and four patients had lymph node metastases. Although local breast symptoms are frequently observed as adverse effects of hormone therapy, caution is warranted regarding male breast cancer.

Background: Following maternal COVID-19 vaccination, the persistence of antibodies in sera and breast milk for mothers and infants is not well characterized. We sought to describe the persistence of antibodies through 2 months after delivery in maternal and infant serum and breast milk following maternal COVID-19 mRNA vaccination and to examine differences by receipt of booster dose during pregnancy or postpartum.
Methods: This is a prospective cohort study with enrollment from July 2021 to January 2022 at 9 US academic sites.

Background: Acetaminophen serves as a standard antipyretic and analgesic agent in the intensive care unit (ICU). However, the association between its administration and acute kidney injury (AKI) among critically ill patients remains controversial, particularly lacking research in patients with Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI). Our aim was to explore the potential relationship between early acetaminophen administration and AKI in critically ill patients with concurrent CDI.

Macular degeneration is a leading cause of irreversible vision loss, significantly impacting quality of life. To enhance clinical practice and reduce the risk of drug-related macular degeneration, we analyzed drug-related trends using real-world data. Disproportionality analysis of adverse event reports from the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS, 2004-2023) identified 67,683 cases involving 1402 drugs.

Background: Human milk, especially the mother's own milk (MOM), is highly recommended for preterm babies considering its numerous benefits. Prioritising the use of exclusive MOM in enteral feeding plans is essential for maximising the health and development of preterm babies. This study evaluated the effect of early establishment of full enteral feed (FEF) with exclusive MOM on feeding rate and neonatal nutritional outcomes at discharge among preterm babies.
