Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders, University of California, Irvine, Irvine, CA, USA.
Background: Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) populations are underrepresented in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) research, despite being the fastest growing racial group in the United States. The Collaborative Approach for AANHPI Research and Education (CARE) registry aims to create a sustainable research recruitment source to address this need.
Method: Participants can enroll online, by phone, or in-person by completing an enrollment survey in English, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), Hindi, Korean, Samoan, or Vietnamese.

Background: To enhance the well-being of individuals with dementia, it is crucial to minimize the risk of deterioration in long-term care needs. This study aimed to identify factors and construct predictive models for deterioration in long-term care (LTC) levels in Japanese older adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and dementia.
Method: This retrospective cohort study utilized the data from a memory clinic-based cohort study (NCGG-STORIES) and individual LTC insurance data provided by three municipalities.

UT Health San Antonio, San Antonio, TX, USA.
Background: Primary progressive aphasia (PPA) is a language-led dementia associated with underlying Alzheimer's disease (AD) or frontotemporal lobar degeneration pathology. As part of the Alzheimer's spectrum, logopenic (lv) PPA may be particularly difficult to distinguish from amnestic AD, due to overlapping clinical features. Analysis of linguistic and acoustic variables derived from connected speech has shown promise as a diagnostic tool for differentiating dementia subtypes.

Background: Subjective cognitive concerns are common in functionally intact adults, potentially indicating future cognitive decline. Remote smartphone cognitive testing holds promise for objectively tracking cognition in individuals reporting complaints. In our initial exploration of the link between subjective cognitive complaints and digital clinical outcomes, we examined participants' self-reported cognitive complaints' association with smartphone tests on memory and executive functioning.
