Robotic-assisted thoracoscopy is a procedure that allows certain improvements over the traditionally used thoracoscopic procedures but still has disadvantages. Its association with dissection techniques such as the tunnel technique allows an approach to lungs with incomplete or fused fissures. We present the case of a 65-year-old female smoker with a 33-mm mass with a 13.7 SUVmax on positron emission tomography-computed tomography scans accompanied by biopsies that confirmed the diagnosis of small-cell lung cancer. After confirming that it was stage N0 and M0, surgical treatment was chosen. We performed a left upper lobectomy and thoracoscopic lymphadenectomy with robotic assistance; due to the presence of incomplete fissures, we used the fissure tunneling technique. This procedure ensured a safe dissection technique with the correct identification of the vascular and bronchial structures and reduced the risk of air leakage.

Purpose: To review patients with recurrent patellar dislocation surgically treated with robot-assisted medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction compared with patients who underwent surgery using the traditional freehand technique.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed to identify patients who underwent MPFL reconstruction from January 2020 to December 2023 in our hospital. The inclusion criteria were: patients aged from 15 to 50 years; patellar dislocation occurred two or more times; a Merchant view or computed tomography (CT) scan indicating patellofemoral joint malalignment, external patellar inclination, or lateral patellar dislocation; underwent MPFL reconstruction via robot-assisted or traditional freehand technique; complete medical records and imaging data before and after surgery; a minimum of 1 year of postoperative follow-up.

A new compound [Y(sq)(HO)] (Y-sq; sq = squarate (CO)) was prepared and structurally characterized. Since the RE-sq family (RE = Y, Dy, Yb, Lu) gave isostructural crystals, the objective of this study is to explore the effects of diamagnetic dilution on the SIM behavior through systematic investigation and comparison of diamagnetically diluted and undiluted forms. The 1%-Diluted Dy compounds, Dy@Y-sq and Dy@Lu-sq, showed AC magnetic susceptibility peaks without any DC bias field (), whereas undiluted Dy-sq showed no AC out-of-phase response under the same conditions.
