Primary cholangiocarcinoma is a rare bile duct epithelial neoplasm that can present with atypical clinical manifestations, complicating its diagnosis. Joubert Syndrome (JS) is a congenital cerebellar ataxia typically inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern, although rare X-linked inheritance can occur. It is characterized by hypotonia evolving into ataxia, global developmental delay, oculomotor apraxia, breathing dysregulation, and multiorgan involvement. To date, there are 40 causative genes implicated in JS, all of which encode proteins of the primary cilium.

Purpose: To compare the quality of DWI images, signal loss of left hepatic lobe and diagnostic performance of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values between SS-EPI and iShim-EPI in liver lesions.
Methods: Totally 142 patients were involved, images using SS-EPI and the prototype iShim-EPI were acquired before injection of gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver MRI.Image quality of demarcation of liver capsule, resolution, lesion distortion, artifacts, lesion confidence score, and signal loss in left hepatic lobe was assessed by two radiologists.

Background Aims: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) leads to severe liver diseases, such as cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Identification of host factors that regulate HBV replication can provide new therapeutic targets. The discovery of sodium taurocholate cotransporting polypeptide (NTCP) as an HBV entry receptor has enabled the establishment of hepatic cell lines for analyzing HBV infection and propagation.
