Unlabelled: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the course on Global Health Nursing for Indian nursing students, intended to introduce the course as a selective course in the nursing curriculum.
Methods: A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pre- and post-test design was carried out. The study participants were fifty final grade nursing students, considered as an experimental (n = 25) and control group (n = 25). The participants recruited by purposive sampling were fifty 4th grade nursing students (experimental 25, control 25) at St. X College of Nursing, India. The course on Global Health Nursing was developed by using the ADDIE model, and the duration of the course was about 16 h over three weeks. The course was implemented based on Gagné's instructional method. Data were collected by self-perceived scales of Global Health Nursing before and after the course, the participants' opinions, and feedback providing comments about the course.
Results: The study results showed improvement in knowledge (F = 8.48; < 0.001), skills (F = 96.14; < 0.001), and performance on Global Health Nursing (F = 5.50; < 0.001) and was statistically significant. Moreover, the participants described that they were satisfied with the quality of teaching-learning and achieved the learning goals.
Conclusion: The outcome of this study could be extended to the existing nursing curriculum and would be modified to formulate a standard module in the curriculum of the Indian nursing system. The study offers implications for different fields of nursing, including nursing education, research, and practice in India.

Background: The association between systolic blood pressure and all-cause mortality differs between frail and nonfrail individuals, highlighting uncertainties about the effectiveness of antihypertensive treatments in frail populations.
Methods: Using data from the SHEP trial (Systolic Hypertension in the Elderly Program), a baseline frailty index (FI), including 55 variables, was constructed. Fine-Gray subdistribution hazard models and Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to explore the association between baseline FI and the risks of stroke, cardiovascular disease, and all-cause death, as well as to examine whether the impact of antihypertensive treatment on these outcomes was modified by baseline FI.

Enteropathogens are major contributors to mortality and morbidity, particularly in settings with limited access to water, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure. To assess transmission pathways associated with enteropathogen infection, we measured household environmental conditions and assayed 22 enteropathogens using TaqMan Array Cards in stool samples from 276 six-month-old children living in communities along a rural-urban gradient in Northern Ecuador. We utilized multivariable models, risk factor importance, and distance-based statistical methods to test factors associated with infection.

Numerous cities in the Russian Federation have joined the World Health Organization's (WHO) Global Network for Age-Friendly Cities and Communities since 2011. In order to do quantitative evaluations of the age-friendliness of cities, the Age-Friendly Cities and Communities Questionnaire (AFCCQ) was developed in the Netherlands. The purpose of this study was to translate and test the validity and reliability of the AFCCQ for use in the Russian Federation, and to study the views on the age-friendliness of the city of Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan from an intergenerational perspective.

Notwithstanding the obvious interconnection between humans and the world that they share with non-human inhabitants, the impact of our changing climate on certain aspects of the public health ecosystem has been under-investigated. We briefly describe some of the possible climate-induced changes in the procurement, distribution, access and use of medications, including those for animals generally and livestock specifically. A fuller understanding of the effect of climate change on medicine supply, access, use and quality, including how these affect antimicrobial resistance, would contribute to the further development of the "One Health" and "One Health Systems" concepts.
