Background: Minimally invasive thoracic surgery is the most frequently used approach for lung resection to minimize surgical stress on the patient. To further reduce invasiveness, the non-intubated spontaneous ventilation method is applied on the anesthesia side. Spiruchostatin A also referred to as YM753 and OBP801, a cyclic peptide-based natural product derived from Pseudomonas sp., is distinguished by its potent inhibition of Class I histone deacetylases (HDACs). The modulation of epigenetic mechanisms by HDAC inhibitors is fundamental for altering gene expression related to cell growth, apoptosis, and differentiation, highlighting their potential in oncologic therapies.

This study investigates the effects of the Gateway Experience (GE) on psychological well-being. The GE has been developed several decades ago for the induction of altered states of consciousness. It incorporates several techniques such as hypnosis, meditation, and binaural beats, which are known to facilitate well-being, sleep, learning and memory, and emotional states, but have not been tested in the exact combination used by the GE.

: While theoretical articles describing cultural considerations for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment in Latine/x populations exist, empirical trials are less common. The present study aimed to review the existing literature for empirically tested, trauma-focused PTSD treatments among Latine/x samples to describe treatment outcomes, cultural considerations, and gaps in the existing literature. For this scoping review, we identified studies that met inclusion criteria as culturally considerate, trauma-focused PTSD treatments reporting symptom outcomes in Latine/x adults.
