Introduction: Ototoxicity is an adverse effect of childhood cancer treatment with a negative impact on speech-language development and quality of life. This study aimed to retrospectively assess ototoxicity monitoring in a national cohort of pediatric patients with solid tumors, examining the frequency and determinants associated with hearing loss (HL).
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 305 patients treated between 2015 and 2020 at the Princess Máxima Center.

Background: Although clear cell sarcoma of kidney (CCSK) is rare, it is the second most common renal tumor in children after Wilms' tumor. NWTS and SIOP are two major groups which had made tremendous efforts on renal tumors, but the strategies are different, for NWTS follows the upfront surgery principle providing definite pathology and the SIOP follows the upfront chemotherapy principle, each has its own advantages. Here we aimed to evaluate the outcomes of CCSK in China following NWTS strategies to analyze the prognostic factors.

Wilms tumor has been selected as an index tumor by the WHO Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer with the aim to improve cure rates worldwide. Nevertheless, there is a scarcity of published data on outcomes beyond those of the major cooperative groups. Therefore, we conducted a retrospective analysis including all patients with Wilms tumor treated at our referral center in Uruguay between 1995 and 2020.

Introduction: Renal artery embolization has been used in a palliative fashion for symptomatic relief of hematuria or flank pain in unresectable renal cell carcinoma in adults. There is limited data on the use of embolization for actively bleeding and unresectable tumors in the oncological pediatric population.
Case Description: A previously healthy 5-year-old boy with no significant past medical or surgical history presented to the clinic with gradually worsening abdominal distension associated with occasional abdominal pain, gross hematuria, and lethargy for four months.

The International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) launched a program to map all pediatric cancer facilities around the world. After the results in Africa were completed, the strategy for data collection for Latin America was revised to improve the accuracy and avoid duplications. In partnership with SIOP, the Sociedad Latino Americana de Oncología Pediátrica (SLAOP) approached their delegates who provided the contacts for a 10-question survey about their institutional capacities.
