The main aim of the study was to analyse the strain rate sensitivity of the compressive deformation response in bulk 3D-printed samples from 316L stainless steel according to the printing orientation. The laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) method of metal additive manufacturing was utilised for the production of the samples with three different printing orientations: 0∘, 45∘, and 90∘. The specimens were experimentally investigated during uni-axial quasi-static and dynamic loading. A split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) apparatus was used for the dynamic experiments. The experiments were observed using a high-resolution (quasi-static loading) or a high-speed visible-light camera and a high-speed thermographic camera (dynamic loading) to allow for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the deformation processes. Digital image correlation (DIC) software was used for the evaluation of displacement fields. To assess the deformation behaviour of the 3D-printed bulk samples and strain rate related properties, an analysis of the true stress-true strain diagrams from quasi-static and dynamic experiments as well as the thermograms captured during the dynamic loading was performed. The results revealed a strong strain rate effect on the mechanical response of the investigated material. Furthermore, a dependency of the strain-rate sensitivity on the printing orientation was identified.

Affected by weakening effect of water in the goaf, the bearing capacity of coal pillar reduced, and coal pillar rock burst is prone to occur, which is a serious threat to mine safety in production. In order to study the equivalent width and stability of coal pillar in water-rich coal seam, taking the section coal pillar of a working face as the research object, combined with laboratory test, theoretical analysis, simulation and engineering practice, the stress, elastic core area width, damage degree and energy accumulation of 36 m water-immersed coal pillar and 26 m, 28 m, 30 m, 32 m, 36 m unimmersed coal pillars are analyzed. The research results show that: (1) The reasonable width of coal pillar under flooded and unflooded conditions is 36.

This study determined the effects of the mycelium post-ripening time on the growth of Pleurotus geesteranus and the substrate metabolism. The characteristic indexes and timing reflecting the physiological maturity of P. geesteranus mycelium were identified to facilitate precise cultivation in factories.

Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a major cause of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), particularly in immunocompromised patients, leading to high morbidity and mortality rates. This study aimed to investigate the antimicrobial resistance patterns, virulence gene profiles, and genetic diversity among P. aeruginosa isolates from hospitalized patients in Mazandaran, Iran.

Introduction: The objective of our study was to estimate the influenza vaccine effectiveness for 2023/24 epidemic of co-circulating influenza A(H3N2) and B(Victoria) viruses in Beijing, China.
Methods: The surveillance-based study included all swabbed patients through influenza virological surveillance in Beijing, between October 2023 and March 2024. A Test-Negative Design(TND) was used to estimate influenza vaccine effectiveness(VE) against medically- attended laboratory-confirmed influenza in outpatient settings, also calculated the influenza vaccination rate(IVR).

Acetogenic bacteria play an important role in various biotechnological processes, because of their chemolithoautotrophic metabolism converting carbon dioxide with molecular hydrogen (H) as electron donor into acetate. As the main factor limiting acetogenesis is often H, insights into the H consumption kinetics of acetogens are required to assess their potential in biotechnological processes. In this study, initial H consumption rates at a range of different initial H concentrations were measured for three different acetogens.
