Case Report: A 14-year-old girl presented with 1 cm large whitened lesion on the ventral surface of the tongue, appeared from 1 month. Past history showed congenital dyserythropoietic anemia type II. The lesion was excised and microscopic and immunohistochemical analyses were compatible with benign Abrikossoff tumor. Total body MRI was negative. After six months the patient presented a second tongue lesion and four months later another large painful lesion in the soft palate, with the same istological diagnosis. In addition, she had other multiple lesions: two apperead at pharyngeal level (not biopsied) that remain stable over time, and one at the pituitary gland.

Conclusion: Granular cell tumors, with or without multiple lesions, are rare in children. About 50% of cases involve the head and neck region, with the tongue being the most affected site. Therapy is based on the surgical excision of the lesions; however some tumor forms, although their histological aspect of benignity, often have an important infiltrative power, making the therapeutic approach difficult, as in our case.

Cancer's epigenetic landscape, a labyrinthine tapestry of molecular modifications, has long captivated researchers with its profound influence on gene expression and cellular fate. This review discusses the intricate mechanisms underlying cancer epigenetics, unraveling the complex interplay between DNA methylation, histone modifications, chromatin remodeling, and non-coding RNAs. We navigate through the tumultuous seas of epigenetic dysregulation, exploring how these processes conspire to silence tumor suppressors and unleash oncogenic potential.

The two-dimensional lamellar materials disperse platinum sites and minimize noble-metal usage for fuel cells, while mass transport resistance at the stacked layers spurs device failure with a significant performance decline in membrane electrode assembly (MEA). Herein, we implant porous and rigid sulfonated covalent organic frameworks (COF) into the graphene-based catalytic layer for the construction of steric mass-charge channels, which highly facilitates the activity of oxygen reduction reactions in both the rotating disk electrode (RDE) measurements and MEA device tests. Specifically, the normalized mass activity is remarkably boosted by 3.

Primary uterine lymphoma is an extremely rare disease. An 11-year-old spayed female domestic short-haired cat presented with a 3-month history of mucopurulent vaginal discharge, lethargy, acute vomiting and constipation. Physical examination revealed vulvar swelling, purulent discharge and a mass in the mid-caudal abdomen.

An unprecedented global outbreak caused by the monkeypox virus (MPXV) prompted the World Health Organization to declare a public health emergency of international concern on July 23, 2022. Therapeutics and vaccines for MPXV are not widely available, necessitating further studies, particularly in drug repurposing area. To this end, the standardization of in vitro infection systems is essential.

Tissues form during development through mechanical compaction of their extracellular matrix (ECM) and shape morphing, processes that result in complex-shaped structures that contribute to tissue function. While observed in vivo, control over these processes in vitro to understand both tissue development and guide tissue formation has remained challenging. Here, we use combinations of mesenchymal stromal cell spheroids and hydrogel microparticles (microgels) with varied hydrolytic stability to fabricate programmable and dynamic granular composites that control compaction and tissue formation over time.
