Rationale: McCune-Albright syndrome (MAS) is a rare disorder characterized by clinical findings, which includes fibrous dysplasia (FD). FD is a benign tumor that leads to increased rates of bone fracture. In some MAS cases with FD, facial deformities, severe pain, and orbital neuropathies are complicated. Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is a benign bone tumor and rare complication of FD.
Patient Concerns: A 9-year-old boy was admitted to our hospital because of acute visual disturbance.
Diagnosis And Interventions: The patient was clinically diagnosed as ABC complicated with MAS, and he underwent surgery.
Outcomes: After the surgery, his sight became normal. Recurrence of ABC and visual disturbance was not observed in 3 years. Genetic analysis of a tissue sample from the ABC lesion by next-generation sequencing revealed a somatic activating GNAS mutation.
Lessons: To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report of MAS causing optic neuropathy complicated with ABC. ABC complicated with MAS is extremely rare, but it should be considered as a possible diagnosis in patients with acute visual loss and facial swelling. In addition, our case had OAS, which is an uncommon syndrome and a rare complication in ABC with MAS, and rapid decompression of the ABC was effective in improving the patient's eyesight.

Anxiety is known to significantly impair cognitive function, particularly attentional control. While exercise has been demonstrated to alleviate these cognitive deficits, the precise neural mechanisms underlying these effects remain poorly understood. This study examines the effects of exercise on attentional control in individuals with high trait anxiety, based on attentional control theory, which suggests that such individuals have reduced top-down attention.

Background: Although non-surgical and surgical approaches have been developed to repair acute closed Achilles tendon ruptures, the medical community still lacks a definitive consensus on which approach is superior. This study describes a new minimally invasive internal splinting technique combined with knotless anchors for the treatment of 22 patients with acute closed Achilles tendon rupture.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted involving 22 patients with acute closed Achilles tendon rupture who were treated with a minimally invasive internal splinting technique at Jingzhou Hospital of Yangtze University between January 2022 to October 2023.

Purpose: Myocardial injury, indicated by an elevation of high-sensitive cardiac Troponin (hs-cTnT), is a frequent stroke-related complication. Most studies investigated patients with ischemic stroke, but only little is known about its occurrence in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This study aimed to assess the frequency, predictors, and implications of myocardial injury in ICH patients.

Background: Ankle sprain is a common clinical disease, which has the highest incidence rate among joint and ligament injuries. And acute ankle sprains can easily develop into chronic ankle instability, thereby increasing the difficulty of treatment. The current clinical guidelines for post-acute ankle sprains are still controversial.
