In this study, we sequenced and analyzed the complete mitogenome to compare mitogenomic structures and reconstruct phylogenetic relationships. The complete mitogenome sequence of is circular, 15,939 bp in size and encodes 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 2 ribosomal RNA genes (rRNA), 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNA) and a control region (CR). Nucleotide composition is highly biased toward A + T nucleotides (80.3%). All 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs) initiate with the standard start codon of ATN and terminate with the typical stop codon TAA/TAG. Phylogenetic analyses were performed using 13 protein coding genes (PCGs) showed that is closely related to .

Background: Acanthocephalans (thorny headed worms) of the genus Pseudoacanthocephalus mainly parasitize amphibians and reptiles across the globe. Some species of the genus Pseudoacanthocephalus also can accidentally infect human and cause human acanthocephaliasis. Current knowledge of the species composition of the genus Pseudoacanthocephalus from amphibians and reptiles in China is incomplete.

The brown pencilfish, Nannostomus eques is a lebiasinid harvested for ornamental purposes; however, its complete mitochondrial genome sequence is still unknown. To enrich the molecular genetic information pertaining to Nannostomus, we present here the first report of the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Nannostomus eques and compare it with Nannostomus beckfordi. The total lengths of the N.

In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of was first determined by the primer walking sequence method. The complete mitochondrial genome was 16,574 bp in length, including 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, two ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, and a control region (D-loop). The gene arrangement pattern was identical to that of other teleosts.

The largemouth bronze gudgeon (Coreius guichenoti), an endemic fish species, is distributed in the upper Yangtze River drainage. Due to anthropogenetic factors such as water pollution, overfishing, and dam construction, the wild populations of C. guichenoti have dramatically declined in recent decades.
