Herein, we have successfully synthesized a novel CS-PDMA/AuNPs nanocomposite based on -chitosan containing poly(2,5-dimethoxyaniline) capped gold nanoparticle synthesis is reported. The AuNPs were synthesized using the green method without using any harmful chemicals, reducing and stabilizing agents to generate AuNPs, is not needed because these roles are played by CS. The synthesized CS-PDMA/AuNPs nanocomposite were characterized by UV-Vis, FT-IR, XRD, SEM, and TEM analysis. The polydispersed CS-PDMA/AuNPs nanocomposite was observed approximately 25 nm. Furthermore, CS-PDMA/AuNPs nanocomposite was showed significant antibacterial activity against and . The CS-PDMA/AuNPs nanocomposite showed strong antioxidant activity by inhibiting the DPPH radicals. In addition, the cytotoxicity of CS-PDMA/AuNPs nanocomposite was tested in HeLa cells and found to be high toxicity than CS-PDMA. This work suggests that green synthesized CS-PDMA/AuNPs nanocomposite may be utilized as an effective antibacterial, antioxidant, and anticancer activity.[Figure: see text]Research highlightsnCS-PDMA capped gold nanoparticles (nCS-PDMA/AuNPs) were prepared.Physical characterization of nCS-PDMA/AuNPs by UV-vis, FTIR, XRD, SEM, and TEM.nCS-PDMA/AuNPs displayed promising inhibitory activity against both bacteria.nCS-PDMA/AuNPs showed significant DPPH radical scavenging activities.nCS-PDMA/AuNPs showed an excellent anticancer activity against HeLa cells.

A label-free photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor for detecting theophylline (TP) was exploited based on electrodes modified with a nanocomposite of polydopamine nanospheres (PDSs) and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). PDS particles were prepared by oxidative autopolymerization, and their reducibility was utilized in one step to reduce the gold nanoparticles . The AuNPs-PDS/ZnS PEC sensor was constructed by electrochemical deposition and drop coating.

The structural alterations in the constituent materials of nanocomposites such as graphene nanocomposites typically induce changes in their properties including mechanical, electrical, and optical properties. Therefore, by altering the preparation conditions of nanocomposites and investigating their responsiveness to basic biomolecules (such as proteins), it is possible to explore the application potentials of the composites and guide development of new nanocomposite preparation. In this study, different composites of graphene oxide and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs/GO) were obtained by varying the volumes of reducing agents used in the one-pot hydrothermal method.

Due to their lipophilicity and low content, the major sesame oleosin allergens, Ses i 4 and Ses i 5, are challenging to identify using conventional techniques. Then, a novel unlabeled electrochemical immunosensor was developed to detect the potential allergic activity of sesame oleosins. The voltammetric immunosensor was constructed using a composite of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), polyethyleneimine (PEI), and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), which was synthesized in a one-pot process and modified onto a glass carbon electrode to enhance the catalytic current of the oxygen reduction reaction.

To provide accurate diagnostic evidence for early hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection-related diseases, this study targeted HBV DNA as an analyte, where a sandwich-type electrochemical DNA sensor based on gold nanoparticles/reduced graphene oxide (Au NPs/ERGO) and cerium oxide/gold-platinum nanoparticles (CeO/AuPt NPs) was constructed. Au NPs/ERGO composite nanomaterials were first synthesized on the surface of a glass carbon electrode using electrochemical co-reduction, which significantly improved the specific surface area and electrical conductivity of the electrode. Further specific hybridization of target HBV-DNA was performed by combining capture probe DNA (S1-DNA) bound to AuNPs/ERGO with CeO/AuPt modified signal probe DNA (S2-DNA).
