Background: Men with progressive neuroendocrine or aggressive-variant metastatic prostate cancer (NEPC/AVPC) have a poor prognosis and limited treatment options, and immunotherapy has not been tested in such patients.
Methods: We conducted an open label single center phase 2 trial (NCT03179410) of men with progressive NEPC/AVPC either defined by histology or AVPC criteria. Avelumab (10 mg/kg every 2 weeks) was administered until progression or unacceptable toxicity.

Background: Primary choriocarcinoma of the stomach (PCCS) is a rare tumor, with fewer than 60 cases published in the English-language literature up to December 2018. In this paper, we present the complex immunoprofile of one PCCS and a hypothesis regarding its histogenesis.
Case Summary: A 66-year-old previously healthy male underwent an emergency palliative gastrectomy for a gastric obstructive tumor.

Colorectal micropapillary carcinoma has recently been reported as an aggressive variant of adenocarcinoma with a high incidence of lymph node metastasis, but has not been well investigated in terms of survival analysis. This study analyzed the clinicopathological characteristics, including survival data, of the patients with micropapillary carcinoma. We hypothesized that the aggressive features of micropapillary carcinoma might be related to the presence of more tumor cells with stem cell phenotype in colorectal cancer.
