A catalyst-induced defluorinative, alkylation or metal-free hydroalkylation of -difluoroalkenes enabled by visible light was developed. This protocol provided a mild and practical approach to important and novel monofluoroalkenes and difluoromethylene-containing compounds with moderate to excellent yields.
