This is a report on a patient with a mycotic aneurysm of the superior mesenteric artery proved by histology. Because of a marked intolerance of contrast media we abstained from angiography. It is shown that real-time sonography gives a definite diagnosis, if the multiple vascular structures of the upper abdomen are precisely identified.

Background: The bolus tracking technique has been used for decades, yet still faces the challenging task of determining the optimal scanning time for individuals. Our study aimed to assess the feasibility of a novel bolus tracking method with a personalized post-trigger delay (PTD) to optimize scanning time and achieve optimized enhancement and contrast homogeneity in aortic computed tomography angiography (CTA).
Methods: Participants undergoing aortic CTA with bolus tracking were prospectively assigned to two different groups: Group A with a fixed 6-second PTD and Group B with a personalized PTD.

Introduction: Microsurgery for paraclinoid aneurysms remains the first line of treatment in resource-constrained settings. The authors describe their institutional experience and evaluate functional outcomes after microsurgical treatment of paraclinoid aneurysms.
Methods: A retrospective review of clinical records was conducted.

This study aimed to provide an updated evidence of superior hypophyseal artery (SHA) aneurysms management, including their clinical implications, predictive factors for rupture, therapeutic approaches, and post-treatment outcomes. This systematic review and meta-analysis, following PRISMA guidelines, assessed the literature on superior hypophyseal artery aneurysms. Studies were selected based on predefined criteria, focusing on coiling and clipping interventions.

Accurate rupture risk assessment is essential for optimizing treatment decisions in patients with cerebral aneurysms. While computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has provided critical insights into aneurysmal hemodynamics, most analyses focus on blood flow patterns, neglecting the biomechanical properties of the aneurysm wall. To address this limitation, we applied Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) analysis, an integrative approach that simulates the dynamic interplay between hemodynamics and wall mechanics, offering a more comprehensive risk assessment.

Objective: Infective endocarditis (IE) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality and places patients at risk for subsequent peripheral vascular emboli. Our goals were to analyze the incidence of peripheral emboli and their associated complications and outcomes.
Methods: A retrospective single-center review of all patients with IE from 2013-2021 was performed.
