The scale of international migration is growing day by day, and the issue of refugees constitutes a significant agenda item for all countries. In today's digital age, characterized by technological advancements, refugees are also benefiting from the advantages of technology. With various applications downloaded to their mobile phones, refugees can directly access all kinds of information about the countries they are heading to and even communicate with each other to share experiences.

Background: More than 35 000 refugees from Ukraine applied for temporary collective protection in Norway during 2022. Previous studies have shown that the refugees have poor health in several domains, and crude reports have suggested that those fleeing Ukraine at later stages have even poorer health. Inpatient psychiatry for child and adolescents came about from the concept of the asylum for adults. Although the asylums were made isolate the adults from the community, the inpatient hospitalization for youth was needed to keep the child safe from the environment. The concept of the inpatient unit is filled with controversy and all people involved in the experience have mixed feelings about being admitted to the hospitalization.
