Background: Vaxxinity is developing an active immunotherapy targeting Tau for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other tauopathies. VXX-301 is a multi-epitope vaccine designed to target the N-terminal and repeat domains of Tau. This design enables targeting multiple forms of Tau thought to contribute to Tau associated pathologies.

Using our computational platform, we identified 4 different AßO-restricted conformational B cell epitopes (300, 301, 303, 305) that were tested as vaccines for their ability to induce an antibody response that selectively targets toxic AßO, without inducing potentially detrimental B or T cell responses against plaque or normal Aß. A novel ex vivo approach was then used to select an optimal vaccine configuration amongst the 15 possible combinations of the 4 epitopes to provide maximal binding to a toxic oligomer-enriched low molecular weight (LMW) fraction of soluble AD brain extracts.

Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are multisystemic autoimmune disorders that can present with renal manifestations. Overlapping cases of these diseases are extremely rare and present both diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. We report the case of a 70-year-old male with a history of autoimmune pancreatitis, who was admitted with fatigue, weight loss, and worsening kidney function.

There are uncertainties about the optimal tTG-IgA titre and timing of endoscopy in the diagnosis of CD, and this study aimed to contribute to the debate on the tTGA-IgA threshold titre for endoscopy decisions in children with T1D.
Methods: The data of 991 children with T1D who had undergone serologic evaluation for CD were analysed retrospectively.

Avian influenza is a significant threat to the poultry industry, and it has become an outbreak in many countries because of its mortality and morbidity. Concerns about the history of avian influenza outbreaks has prompted all countries to enhance their independence in pharmaceutical and biological components as a preparedness measure for any potential occurrences. The production of antibodies such as IgY is a potential alternative.
