Background: Ovulation induction (OI) in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) remains challenging, and several biomarkers have been evaluated for their ability to predict ovulation. The predictive ability of candidate biomarkers, particularly with letrozole-based therapy in infertile PCOS women, remains inconclusive as it is yet to be evaluated in a prospective study.
Aim: To assess the role of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinising hormone (LH)/FSH ratio, testosterone and free androgen index (FAI) as predictors of ovarian response to letrozole-based OI therapy during OI cycles in infertile women with PCOS from North India.

Menopause is a natural biological aging process characterized by the loss of ovarian follicular function and decrease estrogen levels. These hormonal fluctuations are associated with increased iron levels, which ultimately lead to iron accumulation. This study aims to investigate the effects of Deferasirox on iron homeostasis and hematopoiesis in ovariectomized rats with iron accumulation.

Background: Reproductive dysfunctions of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and blood anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) concentration are significantly influenced by the dietary advanced glycation end products (AGEs). The interplay between AGEs and their soluble form of receptor, might exert a protective role on the follicular environment and affect AMH concentration. This study investigated the relationship between soluble receptor for advanced glycation end-products (sRAGE) levels in follicular fluid (FF) and serum AMH levels in PCOS and non-PCOS women.

Cystic ovarian disease (COD) is a major cause of infertility in dairy cows. This study aimed to investigate the impact of follicular cysts on the invitro blastocyst developmental competence of oocytes and the relative gene expression of blastocysts developed from the subordinate follicles of ipsilateral (ovary with cyst), contralateral (ovary opposite to cyst), and normal ovaries of buffaloes. A total of 2059 ovaries were collected from slaughterhouse and classified into three categories based on the presence of follicular cysts: a) ipsilateral, b) contralateral, and c) control (absence of cysts).

Granulosa cells (GCs) are pivotal in the development of ovarian follicles, serving not only as supportive cells but also as the primary producers of steroid hormones. The proliferation of these cells and the synthesis of steroid hormones are crucial for follicular development and atresia. In our study, GCs were isolated using follicular fluid aspiration and subsequently identified through immunofluorescence.
